About Michael Jerome Browne: Michael Jerome Browne is a blues, old-time, cajun and swing music powerhouse who has been nominated for 6 Juno (Canadian Grammy) awards. His infectious and brilliant banjo, virtuoso slide & 12-string guitar, harmonica, mandolin, fiddle and soulful singing will knock your socks off. Take our word for it-- this guy is worth going out of your way to hear, and this will be his first area performance ever. Sing Out Magazine called him "One of today's most accomplished interpreters of traditional musical styles" and Long John Baldry said "Browne gives me that kind of tingle like when I first heard Leadbelly and Big Bill Broonzy." Whether it's acoustic or electric blues, old-time country or cajun, swing or R&B, Michael performs and writes in all these styles, and is a warm and engaging performer.
