Enjoy a magical evening of Irish ballads, harp tunes and storytelling by one of Ireland's own minstrels. Aine is
a charming and witrty performer as well as a consummate musician. She plays airs, reels and dance tunes on the harp,
and sings beautifully, and you will think it is still 1830 (or even 1130!) as we present our first musical event in
this lovely restored barn. This is our first collaboration with the Museums of York and there could not be a better

Fall 2007 Events
Jake Armerding started playing fiddle in the Northern Lights bluegrass band at age 14, and has expanded his musical vision considerably since establishing himself as a fiddle virtuoso. Also a fine guitarist, mandolinist and songwriter, Armerding has emerged at the forefront of the Boston/New York singer-songwriter neo-folk movement. The Boston Globe said "Armerding is the most gifted and promising songwriter to emerge from the Boston folk scene in years." Expect great songs, amazing singing and instrumental work, and a glimpse of the future of acoustic music. Joyce Andersen

Up-Close Guitar Workshop With Muriel Anderson The only woman to win the prestigious National Fingerpicking competition, Muriel wowed the crowd at the first Seacoast Guitar Festival in 2004. Open to guitarists of all levels, this workshop includes a variety of right and left hand techniques, harmonic techniques and principles that can be applied to performing, arranging & composing. This is a unique opportunity to discuss with Muriel as she shares her open-minded attention to detail as well as the inspirations behind her compositions and arrangements. |
